It is Day 14 of the Enhanced Community Quarantine in Luzon, Philippines — our response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Or, Day 16 of the original Community Quarantine for Metro Manila, before the government decided to impose quarantine on the entire Luzon region.
As far as I’m concerned, it’s Day 18 of my own Personal Quarantine, which I decided to start ahead of the government’s decision and announcements.
I was out and about on March 12, Thursday, and thought, why wait for the government to tell us to restrict our movements and minimize our chances of catching the virus, eh?
It’s not like I have a day job or that I’m obligated to be elsewhere. 🙄
So I started staying home on March 13, Friday. 😎
The only times I ventured out was March 21, Saturday, to walk around the block and pick up my Home Quarantine Pass from the Barangay Hall, and March 25, Wednesday, when I went out for errands — picking up jugs of purified water, doing some groceries, and going to the pharmacy.
Yeah, and they misspelled my name. 🙄
Fortunately, although they require you to show your pass, they don’t look at it too closely… so far. 🙃
