Somebody I hardly* know but hung out with a couple of times from that old bicycle group that I divorced years ago, reached out to me, out of the blue.

📞 Well, she was crying saying she got scammed. All her savings gone including her past month's pay check. In an investment #scam. She said she's got just enough money for her mom's medical expenses and just needs some #money for day-to-day expenses.

An old co-worker of mine (from my previous life) just got hired at my current company! She's a very good worker. Smart. Dependable. Professional. No insecurities. No dramas.

We have different roles, but we'll get to collaborate now and then, I think.

Perhaps her presence will cancel out the ill effects of that insecure, scheming, high maintenance, much ado coworker. I want to say that he has zero effect on me, but for a couple of years now... Goodness 🤨!

Goodness. Went looking for it and found it at the third #Starbucks store. I guess it's due to Valentine's that they almost all got snapped up. I didn't realize the Valentine's connection till I saw that the second store I visited was out of ladybug #mugs too. 😅

Just learned that covering the front #camera on my phone doesn't disable #FaceID.

I'm glad about it, actually. Face ID is so convenient, but having an unused photo/video cam open at all times is creepy. And my humble phone doesn't have a fingerprint sensor. I thought I had to choose between the convenience of Face ID and feeling a bit safer. Well, I don't have to!

I personally own "more than 7". I'm saying that because I haven't tried counting them. Kinda embarrassing. I think I may have over a dozen. 😅 And that's not counting tumblers and bottles.

Went to Tokyo Tokyo 🍱 a branch I've dined at many many times before. They have 2 self-service kiosks, 2 people placing their orders there, and 1 waiting in line. I'd always ordered at the cashier so I asked the 1 staff manning the counter if I can just order from her. She responds with: they'll only accommodate transactions with discounts at the counter/cashier, everybody else will have to use the kiosks.

I walked out. 🤨

I went riding too early.
And stopped for breakfast too early.

Time to get my #casio checked. Coming here ain't convenient. I was kinda expecting poor customer experience here, having read the bad Google reviews. So far so good. 😄

Turns out the battery is close to dead as it's showing the word "Recover" on the screen. Funny I didn't notice that before.

My chief complaint was that the backlight won't turn on anymore when i press the bottom button, and it's looking half submerged.

"Submerged" because the bezel got bloated due to age, says the tech. Oh... 🫠

My Apple TV 📺 trial is almost over. I decided to cancel. I like the shows. I do not like the app. I'll also be cancelling my Apple Music 🎶 trial.

I'm back on my Netflix subscription. 📺 😃👍 I'm also still paying for YouTube Premium. 📺🎶 That's enough for now. Till there's a new cool series on Apple TV. 🤪

Such a bummer that shows are scattered all over. There's a series I'm interested in, but it's not on any streaming services available to me and I don't want another subscription. 🤷‍♀️

Just woke up. Not ready to get out of bed yet. 😶

Missed my usual Sunday early morning ride. 🚴‍♀️ My Sunday wake up alarms are turned off. Weird.

Considering what to do today. Do I even want to ride to church or shall I just drive so I can bring extra stuff and maybe get some work done at a cafe, and maybe buy a new faucet too?

The kitchen faucet's been leaking. I asked the building admin to come take a look, thinking they only need to replace 1 little part in the faucet.

The guy came and... "Where is your replacement faucet?"

I gotta replace the whole thing?? 😳

Yup. The whole thing 🚰 will need to be replaced. No such thing as replacing only the little part that's causing the leak.

Well, looks like that el cheapo, no-name, China-made #ActivityTracker ⌚️that I bought years ago is going to have to be my #watch for now. It's big on my wrist, but it's thin. At least it works well enough.

Can't call Garmin for a quote on a replacement -- their published phone numbers are useless. And I haven't been to the only official Casio service center in the entire Luzon to have them take a look at my old #BabyG. 🤷‍♀️ #Philippines

I thought I'd get my #Garmin ⌚️ fixed, maybe get the battery replaced at the store.

No such thing. I'd have to call a number, they'll charge ₱₱₱*, then send a replacement*. What a waste. 🤨 #tech

Their #VivosmartHR lasted ~10年 before showing defects. #VenuSq2 lasted just 2 年. Do I really want another?

My plain #Casio #BabyG #solar is a li'l old for wear, but still alive after 15 years. Never needed repairs or battery replacement. No ❤️👣🚲 tracker though. Hmm... 🤔 🛍️?

First ride of the year 2026. Just chilling. While everybody's hungover from last night's festivities, it's a lovely and quiet morning ride for me. I did almost 30 km. For a solo ride that's just going round and round, wandering aimlessly, not going too far... I'm quite pleased with myself. I ain't lazy today! 😉🚴‍♀️

It was so quiet that I felt safe stopping for a picture with this big old tree.

In the battle between nature and the hard concrete jungle... Nature wins!! 😃👍

So an #eWallet #digitalBank has been offering a No Annual Fees #creditcard. Months* ago I decided* to get 1 because they're a good #bank and because it's good to have a backup card.

1st: Submit a request and they'll check if I qualify. It includes submitting a Reference 👤's name. I did not give a name.

2nd: "Yay, Evelyn! You qualify! Now fill out an application.. give us a Reference 👤.. we will contact them..." I did NOT complete* the application, due to the Ref part.

Today*: "Welcome!"📱

On my Christmas ride with the Big Bros I decided to use PAS 3 for my ride back home. Normally I use PAS 1 & 2.

I was still 3 km from home when my #eBike died. 🪫 Had to do pure pedal power. 😵‍💫 Was pretty pathetic. Pedaling speed at ~11km. 😅

And my 2-yr old #Garmin #VenuSq2 that's been dying mid ride is now pretty dead. If I charge it, it turns on, 100% 🔋. But once unplugged, it's totally dead. Disappointing. The reason i got this Garmin was because my 1st/previous Garmin lasted a decade. 🤷‍♀️ #tech
