Are you planning on getting your Philippine passport done soon? If you’re reading this anytime around March 2019, you may want to forget about paying extra for Express or Expedited processing.
I went for my passport renewal on February 28 and paid for Expedited processing. The tentative release date given was March 8 to 13. Was it ready for pickup at those given dates? Nope. It was delayed by about a week more.
It seems the DFA has been experiencing major delays. The reason given by their staff at their SM Megamall office was that the passport applications were still in Review.
The good news is that passports made these days have a validity of 10 years. So the next time I have to go through this won’t be for another 9 years or so. 😎
