Ring flash or ring lights are overrated. 🙄
They are indeed great for certain styles of photography.

I’d like to watch your video and hear what you have to say but, man, you look creepy with those rings in your eyes. Please don’t do that. 😱

I suppose that’s the lazy way to do lighting.
One light to conquer the whole face.
Then your video viewers get lost… Lost in your [ringed] eyes.
