What can The Cruising Shutterbug find where?

This is by no means a travel guide for tourists. If your goal is to find tourist attractions and activities, do try travel websites. As you can see by the title of this post, it’s simply about what Evelyn The Cruising Shutterbug can find in certain places she’d been to.

Sometimes I’m about to arrive at a port that I’ve been to before but forget what it’s like and what I can find, do or buy there.  So, again, another post to help me recall and plan my day in port. 😉

@ Canary Islands – Tenerife

Been there twice. Last visit was November 2012.

It’s a long walk from the pier, out to the main street, to downtown shopping.

Orly was where I bought my Nokia E5-00. The good ol’ sales guys hardly speak English, but were very accommodating and courteous. 🙂

Plenty of other shopping to do. Plenty!

Some food places have Wi-Fi. A Chinese restaurant we went to didn’t have Wi-Fi but noteworthy was their Almond Fried Chicken. Yummy! 🙂

@ Costa Rica – Puntarenas

Coffee and free Wi-Fi at Plaza del Cafe, inside the Tourist Info building at the end of the pier, just outside the gate.

Tips for a safe and pleasant trip

@ Guatemala – Antigua

On 4 Calle Oriente is Cafe De La Rua. Small but lovely place. Be sure to sit out in the courtyard. It’s the nicest al fresco ambiance for me.

@ Mexico – Huatulco

Nothing for me out there.  Just for walking and viewing little shops.  Haven’t tried traveling far from the port area.

@ Mexico – Manzanillo (Bahía de Manzanillo)

From the pier Muelle de Cruceros, within walking distance, are convenience stores, food places (local cuisine, ice cream and cold drinks, pizza), cellphone accessories shops, clothing shops, and souvenir shops along the waterfront and along Av. Juárez Balbino Dávalos.  I bought myself some banana chips, chicharrón and cold Andatti Cafe Moka. 🙂

@ Netherlands – Rotterdam

The ship provides shuttle service to the shopping street. It’s very walkable though, especially when I’m out with Ms. Moes. 😉

@ USA – Boston MA

Quincy Market & Faneuil Hall Marketplace, of course! 🙂

Then there’s plenty of shopping on Washington Street, just a few blocks away.
